Point A to Point B

On my run through the neighborhood today, I ran over this lovely stretch of sidewalk art. In fact, there was a whole section of sidewalk chalk with positive messages. “Welcome to the fun zone,” said the first square. “Keep up the great work,” urged another. Not sure if these were written for the walkers and runners out there, but the messages certainly brought a smile to my face, and I looped back around to run over this stretch of sidewalk twice.

Many of us have a lot on our minds, and it can be very tough to stay positive. I am thrilled to see so many of us embracing exercise out there. Not only are we helping ourselves to stay physically healthy, but we are helping our mental health as well.

How can a run coach help at this time?

*Physical and Mental Fitness

We can help our athletes stay fit by providing the tool set necessary to achieve your goals. With a training plan personalized to each individual’s running history and schedule, we can get you started safely and easily. It doesn’t matter if you are new to the sport. At Mindful Marathon, not only do we work on our physical skill set when it comes to running, but we focus on our mindset as well. We tackle the thoughts and feelings that come up along the way and hold us back.

*Motivation and Consistency

Sometimes it can be easy to try something new for a few weeks, but the novelty of the process may wear off quickly. A coach can help us to stay motivated toward our goals by helping us to stay consistent with our training. I learned the importance of consistency from my coach, and with consistency, running became a regular and wonderful part of my life.

*Support and Accountability

As a coach, I love to cheer my athletes on, but also, to give nudges forward as well. Change can be hard. Having an exercise plan for the next few weeks and months can help us to stay focused on our wellness. Our brains love to default to what we know, which for many of us, may be those old thoughts of “I can’t run,” or, “I hate running.”

Many of us have more time on our hands than usual these days, so that previous excuse of not having any time to devote to an exercise routine has evaporated. There is no better time to change our negative thoughts about running and exercise.

Getting started in the sport doesn’t have to be complex or hard. As a coach, I love streamlining the process to get an athlete from Point A to Point B. Please reach out if you are feeling stuck or isolated. Let’s get you off and running. There is no better time to start. Contact Us.
